I'm in Perth at the moment, staying in the Hills (East of the City) in a town called Mundaring, where I grew up. It is interestig to be back in a community I know well, but have not been based in for 10 years or so.
I am making a series of prints and patches for clothing...
I hope to print this series on hemp fabric. Produced
by people being paid wages they deserve for their work - ie not from a
sweat shop.
I have been researching fabric production for a number of years, and it
is horrific how people are treated in the fabric manufacturing industries.
I hope to find a source of 'Australia Made' hemp - please let me now if there is anyone out there making their own hemp.
As far as I know, there is no Australia made HEMP....
